Emergent Architecture … what a wonderful term! It’s so ephemeral!

But what does it actually mean? Often associated with Complex Adaptive Systems, Emergent Architecture is the idea that architecture “emerges” over a period of time, from the day-to-day use of a system or space.

It’s an elegant concept but difficult to understand in any concrete way. So, rather than try to explain it in-the-abstract I made a video of how Emergent Architecture is applied.
